With all respects to the importance of Northstar’s upcoming wedding, I have to say that my favorite comicbook wedding of the year has to be the one in the finale for the Journey Into Mystery/New Mutants crossover Exiled.
When the only way to break the curse placed on a group of cannibalistic ghost shieldmaidens(!) is to get them to marry the scumbag immortal responsible for it all, Dani Moonstar decides that even cannibalistic ghost shieldmaidens sometimes get a bum rap. So, with the help of Kid Loki and Hela, she takes a stand against Thor’s grandpa and gets the curse lifted without them being bound to a creep husband.
Seriously, Exiled was amaaaazing! If you missed it, pick it up when it’s collected.
