John Layman and Rob Guillory’s Image Comics series Chew is in motion as an animated feature, with Steven Yeun and Felicia Day voicing lead roles.
Those of you not attached to Layman’s twitter feed might not have heard, but the past few days he’s been in the recording studio with the then-mystery actors playing the roles of Tony and Amelia. About an hour ago, he announced on Twitter that those two actors were, in fact, Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) and Felicia Day (The Guild.)
Rob told me who was playing what role a few months back when all of this seemed a lot more abstract. It’s really exciting to finally see this animation come together! Personally, I’m stoked for the Savoy announcement - if the same guy that Rob and I discussed is still on board, there is going to be ridiculous amounts of star-power going into this thing!
YES. I don’t think I’ve ever blabbed about how much I love Chew before. I FREAKING LOVE CHEW!!
I have the constitution of a small child when it comes to “food horror” (if that’s not a term, I’m coining it), so if something disgusting is ingested in any medium, I get ill. This just goes to show how amazing Chew is, because the plot is fueled by people eating repulsive and questionable things.
Very happy about this. I might just put down a pre-order once I see some footage.
